Contemporary Art Inside A Historical Amusement Park
CHART in Tivoli returns from 28 August – 21 September 2025 with a brand new exhibition installed within Tivoli Gardens.
Get ready to be inspired as leading artists working across the Nordics present site-specific and existing artworks throughout the grounds of the iconic Copenhagen amusement park: Tivoli. Presented in collaboration with the galleries exhibiting at the art fair at Charlottenborg, CHART in Tivoli offers Tivoli's guests a contemporary art experience unlike any other.
One of our key focuses for 2025 is on art in the public space. We want to shine a spotlight on the important role that art can play in building community, sparking new ideas, encouraging discussion and shaping our shared environment.
Tivoli Gardens is one of the Nordic region’s busiest international tourist attractions. By inviting artists to realise ambitious works within this public space, we are excited to offer new perspectives on how art can be experienced outside of a traditional museum or gallery setting.

New for CHART in Tivoli 2025
The full list of names for this year’s exhibition is still under wraps, but we are excited to tease a first look at some of the participating artists. Look out for new works by some of the biggest names in Copenhagen’s art scene, including Frederik Næblerød (represented by Alice Folker Gallery) and Klara Lilja (represented by V1 Gallery).
This year we will use digital tools to make CHART in Tivoli more interactive than ever. For 2025 we are excited to develop a virtual exhibition map where you can explore the placement of each work inside the park, as well as photos of the installation and information about the artist's practice. With this tool, you will be a able to experience the exhibition in the digital realm as well as plan your route around the park and find specific works.
For this year's CHART in Tivoli, we are also excited to announce a new interactive audio guide. With this series of short recordings, visitors to Tivoli can go behind-the-scenes with the participating artists and hear them describe the story behind each work, in their own words.
"Public art has the power to transform our shared environments, making them more vibrant, engaging, and inclusive. By bringing contemporary art into the public realm, we not only enrich the cultural landscape of the historical Tivoli Gardens but also invite new perspectives, fostering a deeper connection between people and place."
