About The Artist
Esben Weile Kjær is a Danish artist who works with diverse types of media. His projects often contain references to popular culture, and always interact with the context in which it is shown. The sculptures produced for the Tivoli context resemble oversized carnivorous plants, and are placed as strange invasive elements in the beautiful, protected flower bed.
Esben Weile Kjær (b.1992) lives and works in Copenhagen. Kjær is currently enrolled at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, from which he is due to graduate in 2022. He has exhibited both nationally and internationally, with recent performances taking place at a number of major European art institutions and festivals.
