About The Artist
Swedish artist Bella Rune works primarily with sculpture. Within this field, she is continuously exploring ways to use and bring in new materials and techniques. At the same time, the context in which she shows the works is an important component for the sculptural ”situation” that occurs around and contributes to defining the works when installed.
Tivoli’s busy environment is a very dominant setting that highly informs the sculptural space for these works. Although the works are big, their light construction and the placement of both works hanging from the trees make them blend in, allowing them to introduce a certain fragility and sensibility ascribed solely to the works.
Bella Rune (b. 1971, Stockholm; Sweden) was educated at Chelsea College of Arts, London (1995–1998). She has exhibited in Sweden and internationally since the beginning of the 2000s.
