CHART 2025
Join us as we invite art collectors, art professionals and art enthusiasts for the 13th edition of CHART from 28 — 31 August 2025, with a VIP preview on 28 August, at Charlottenborg in the heart of Copenhagen.
Presenting an art fair with the leading galleries in the region, a broad public programme of talks, performances and music as part of CHART Public, plus an off-site sculptural exhibition in Tivoli Gardens, we pay tribute to artistic quality in all its diverse forms as it emerges across the Nordic art scene.
Stay tuned, as we are very excited to share more information soon regarding the broad range of initiatives and ambitious public programming that will give shape to this year's CHART.

Art in the Public Space
CHART 2025 will place a particular focus on art in the public space, exploring how art creates beauty, builds community, highlights important social issues and impacts our shared environment.
Our focus on public art will expand throughout CHART's public programme via a series of artist talks, panel discussions, performances, music and CHART Public— a purpose-built scenography inside the courtyards at Charlottenborg. Whilst the art fair inside Kunsthal Charlottenborg is ticketed, the public programme at CHART is free and open for everyone to attend.
In the run-up to CHART, dive into our new series of Art Running Tours; these curated routes are designed to guide art lovers on-foot to some of the many inspiring public artworks that are permanently installed around Copenagen. Look out for more articles and interviews published via the CHART Journal in the spring that activate our focus on public art, throughout the Nordic countries and beyond.

"Public art has the power to transform our shared environments, making them more vibrant, engaging, and inclusive. By bringing contemporary art into the public realm, we not only enrich Copenhagen's cultural landscape but also invite new perspectives, fostering a deeper connection between people and place."

CHART Public
For 2025, we are excited to present the inaugural edition of CHART Public, a new concept that combines the public programme at CHART with an open call competition for scenographers, designers, architects and artists.
Building on the success of CHART Architecture, which invited emerging architects to realise ambitious proposals for temporary structures, CHART Public expands this initiative. This year, we are calling for proposals for an immersive scenography that will transform the courtyards at Charlottenborg into a total installation.
CHART Public will reimagine the entire visual and spatial experience of the exterior courtyards at CHART, shaping the environment for visitors to the art fair as well as providing the scenography for an ambitious public programme of performances and live music.
Full details regarding the open call competition will be announced in early April. For more information about CHART Public please contact:

CHART in Tivoli
CHART in Tivoli returns from 28 August – 21 September 2025 with a brand new exhibition of contemporary artworks installed throughout the historical amusement park: Tivoli Gardens. Presented in collaboration with the galleries exhibiting at the art fair at Charlottenborg, CHART in Tivoli offers Tivoli's guests a contemporary art experience unlike any other.
As part of our focus on art in the public space, we want to shine a spotlight on the important role art plays in building community, sparking ideas and encouraging discussion. Tivoli is one of the Nordic region's busiest international tourist attractions. By inviting artists to realise ambitious works within this public space, we are excited to offer new perspectives on art, outside of a traditional exhibition setting.
CHART in Tivoli 2025 will be more interactive than ever. Look out for our virtual exhibition map and accompanying audio guide, where you can go behind-the-scenes with the participating artists and hear them describe the story behind each work, in their own words.
