About chart
CHART is an influential non-profit organisation committed to strengthening the role of the Nordic region within the international art, design and cultural scene. Set in the heart of Copenhagen CHART consists of three pillars: the commercial Art Fair and the foundation of CHART; CHART Design, a fair and exhibition platform dedicated to collectible design; and CHART Social, an ambitious non-profit programme exploring creative alliances between art, design, architecture, performance and music.
CHART was established in 2013 by Galleri Susanne Ottesen, Andersen’s, Galleri Bo Bjerggaard, David Risley Gallery and V1 Gallery, with the aim to challenge the boundaries and experience of a traditional art fair. The ambition was and remains to further develop the impact and role of Nordic art and design on an international scale. In 2018, CHART Design was launched as a new complementary fair and exhibition platform dedicated to unique and collectible design. CHART 2018 was the most successful edition to date with over 28,500 visitors attending our two venues at Kunsthal Charlottenborg and Den Frie between 31 August – 2 September.
Attendance of collectors and institutions from the Nordic region was once again strong, and the presence of new collectors attending the fair for the first time from territories including China, Ecuador, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, UK and USA reinforces CHART as the leading contemporary art fair in the Nordic region with strong international appeal.
CHART will return to Kunsthal Charlottenborg and Den Frie Centre of Contemporary between 30 August – 1 September 2019.
