Online Curator Meetings 2024 Recap

Thank you to the 50+ curators from art institutions around the world that joined us for this year's Online Curator Programme

Every year in advance of the fair, CHART hosts a series of online curator meetings between gallerists that participate at CHART, artists from their programme, and leading curators from art institutions around the world.

The initiative sprung from CHART's interest to explore new art fair formats, as well as a desire to bring curators and galleries closer together during the pandemic. In the years following, we have continued to organise the meetings as a sustainable way to bring members of the Nordic arts community together, without the need for travel or disruption to busy schedules.

We were delighted to facilitate curator meetings for the following galleries this year:

Andersen's (DK); Andréhn-Schiptjenko (SE/FR); BERG Contemporary (IS); BORCH Editions (DK); CFHILL (SE); Croy Nielsen (AT); Dorothée Nilsson Gallery (DE); Etage Projects (DK); Galerie Anhava (FI); Galleri Bo Bjerggaard(DK); Galleri Magnus Karlsson (SE); Galleri Susanne Ottesen (DK); Gallery Steinsland Berliner(SE); Gether Contemporary (DK); Helsinki Contemporary(FI); i8 Gallery (IS); Martin Asbæk Gallery (DK); MELK (NO); OSL contemporary (NO); palace enterprise (DK); Persons Projects (DE); Saskia Neuman Gallery (SE); SPECTA (DK); V1 Gallery (DK); Wilson Saplana Gallery (DK); Þula (IS).

"With an intimate, small group size, the online-curator meetings are a valuable way to have a close and direct discussion with artists before the large art fair in August. It's a wonderful sneak peek into what CHART will be offering that year."

"CHART has mastered a relaxed yet very exciting and inspiring program for artists, gallerists and other art professionals to meet. This networking is well organised and joyful, makes you look forward to meeting everyone in person."

Markús Þór Andrésson

Chief Curator at Reykjavík Art Museum

"These online meetings represent a quick and easy way of connecting with or discovering artists from other regions that might be working on topics one is interested in and as such open possibilities beyond the scope of artists you normally work with. They can be practical and time saving."
