Announcing Our New Director From 1 October
As the newly appointed Director of CHART, Julie Quottrup Silbermann will be responsible for laying out the organization’s future course and strategic development as the primary platform for the Nordic art community.
Julie Quottrup Silbermann has significant experience from different positions within the international art scene, where she has worked as gallery director, art advisor, cultural communicator and curator. She assumes the position with a vast national and international network and is driven by a passion for contemporary art.
Julie Quottrup Silbermann succeeds Nanna Hjortenberg, who has been heading CHART since 2018, and who will take on the role of Director at Kunstforeningen GL STRAND from October onwards.

CHART’s board looks forward to the collaboration with Julie Quottrup Silbermann.
Julie Quottrup Silbermann received her Master’s Degree of Arts in Modern Culture and Cultural Communication from the University of Copenhagen. She has worked as Senior Director at Galleri Nils Stærk, Copenhagen, Director at David Risley Gallery, Copenhagen, and Director at Martin Asbæk Gallery, Copenhagen. In recent years Quottrup Silbermann was active as an art advisor for COLLABORATIONS, Copenhagen, where she has advised private clients and institutions.
