Eat, Drink, Shop & Drive: CHART Guide to Copenhagen

CHART offers an invitation to experience Copenhagen through the city's unique blend of creativity, craftsmanship, gastronomy, and design. Between visiting the fair, listening to talks, taking part in events, experiencing our partner institutions or latest shows at the galleries, Copenhagen offers countless places that share the same values found within CHART itself: quality, curiosity, and a deep appreciation for aesthetics.

Whether you're looking for a memorable dinner, a beautifully designed café, inspiring shopping, or simply a different way to experience the city, these are the places we recommend during your stay.

Coffee & Design: Lille Petra at &Tradition

For those who appreciate interiors as much as art, a visit to Lille Petra at &Tradition is essential. Surrounded by iconic Scandinavian furniture and contemporary design classics, the café invites visitors to slow down and enjoy excellent coffee in beautifully considered surroundings. It's a reminder that in Copenhagen, design isn't confined to galleries—it shapes everyday life.

Just one block away you’ll find the newly opened Hotel Petra with a beautiful sense of detail and all in Nordic light design my &Tradition.

Shop: KINRADEN

In the Møntergade neighborhood you’ll find several cool shops – where one of them is the Danish jewellery brand KINRADEN. The brand represents the intersection of contemporary design, sustainability, and exceptional craftsmanship. Known for its refined jewellery made from responsibly sourced precious materials, the brand reflects a quiet luxury that resonates deeply with the Nordic design philosophy.

The founder and owner of KINRADEN, Sarah Müllertz has a passion for art collecting (read her interview from the series; Collecting for… at CHART Journal with this link) – this passion is reflected in the boutique where selected works from her collection create an inspiring atmosphere.

Shop: 66 North

Originally founded to protect Icelandic fishermen from the elements, 66°North has become a benchmark for technical outerwear with a distinctly Nordic aesthetic. The newly opened store offering pieces that are equally suited for urban exploration or Nordic weather.

As CHART is focusing on art in the public space in Copenhagen and lately in Reykjavik – we must admit running in 66 North provides the best running gear for all Nordic weather. So a practical and sustainable souvenir to bring back home.

Mercedes-Benz Studio at Købmagergade 3

Drive: Mercedes-Benz Studio

Mercedes-Benz is celebrating its 140th anniversary by selecting Copenhagen as one of the cities to host a new Mercedes-Benz Studio. During CHART, the space becomes more than a showroom, presenting the brand's latest models alongside a curated exhibition by Danish artist Ebbe Stub Wittrup. Throughout the four days of the fair, visitors are invited to stop by for a glass of champagne and experience a space where innovation, craftsmanship, and design meet.

CHART Art Drive: To mark this year's collaboration, CHART and Mercedes-Benz have created a film inspired by the new MercedesBenz GLC—an invitation to discover Copenhagen through the lens of contemporary art. Following a carefully curated route through the city, the film celebrates curiosity, exploration, and the artworks that shape Copenhagen's vibrant cultural landscape. Watch the full film here.
