Art Drive with Mercedes-Benz
Join us for an art drive through Copenhagen and experience the role of art in public space.
Over the past year, CHART has explored the role of art in public space through walks, runs, and public transportation across the city. This year, together with Mercedes-Benz and the new GLC, we invite audiences on a journey through Copenhagen—one shaped by art, curiosity, and discovery.
The city is filled with artworks that form part of everyday life. Works by artists such as Tal R, John Kørner, SUPERFLEX, FOS, and Kirsten Ortwed are embedded in squares, parks, façades, and public spaces throughout Copenhagen. Often, we pass them without noticing. Yet this is precisely what makes public art unique: it does not require us to seek it out. Instead, it meets us where we are. When art exists within the spaces we share, it becomes part of our collective experience. It can transform the atmosphere of a place, provoke reflection, open conversations, or simply encourage us to pause and see our surroundings differently.
Together with Mercedes-Benz, CHART celebrates this idea through a dedicated film and a curated route through the city—an invitation to experience Copenhagen through the lens of public art. Because art does not only live in museums and galleries. It lives between us.
