A celebration of contemporary art in the heart of Copenhagen

August has arrived and that means it is nearly time for CHART, along with an exciting new season of exhibitions and art events. Today, we are excited to unveil the public programme for CHART 2025.

Alongside this year’s art fair at Charlottenborg, CHART will also feature a full programme of events that are free and open for everyone to attend.

Join us for a series of artist talks featuring some of the most prominent figures exhibiting at the art fair, alongside engaging panel discussions on key contemporary topics, as well as performances in public spaces, film screenings, live music, DJ sets, and much more!

Talks Programme


The Talks programme at CHART 2025 will include a series of Artist Talks between artists showing at this year's fair and curators from leading art institutions across the Nordics.

Alongside conversations with artists, the Talks Programme will also feature a series of panel discussions with experts from diverse fields, discussing the ideas that are reshaping the contemporary art world today.

Talks will offer insight on topics such as: sustainable exhibition-making, the impact of art in the public space and how to start collecting as a company, featuring leading voices and experienced professionals from the Nordic art scene.

Performance Programme


The Performance Programme at CHART 2025 will present a series of unique performances around the courtyards and inside the Cinema at Charlottenborg, as well as out in the public space around Kongens Nytorv and Nyhavn.

Expect a series of thought-provoking works that explore themes of identity and transformation whilst blending ritual, myth, and contemporary struggles. Performances range from immersive experiences reflecting on the body and human imperfection, to provocative pieces examining masculinity, queerness, and the impact of late capitalism.

Highlights from this year's programme include performances by Hess is More: Apollonian Drum Duo, LILITH Artist Duo, Zishi Han & Wei Yang, Kim Richard Adler Mejdahl, Cecilia Fiona and Filip Vest.

Cinema Programme


For CHART 2025, we are delighted to present a series video works inside the Cinema at Charlottenborg, in collaboration with the galleries exhibiting as part of this year’s art fair.

The programme will feature new pieces for this year, as well as pre-existing works that have been prominently exhibited at institutions around the world.

Highlights from this year’s Cinema Programme include works by: Adam Christensen, Arvida Byström & Hampus Byström, Elina Brotherus, Filip Vest, Heini Aho, Hreinn Friðfinnsson, Hulda Rós Guðnadóttir, Jane Jin Kaisen, Janaina Tschäpe, Jytte Rex, Kolbeinn Hugi, Kåre Frang, Petra Lindholm, Pernille With Madsen, Valentin Ranger and Young-jun Tak.

As part of an expanded collaboration with The Copenhagen Metro, CHART will also present a series of video artworks at metro stations around the city. On advertising screens underground, travellers will be introduced to works by Elina Brotherus, Janaina Tschäpe, Heini Aho and Valentin Ranger – presenting art to a new public in an unfamiliar context.

Music Programme


Once the fairs close on Friday and Saturday night, CHART will present a vibrant programme of live music and DJ sets inside the courtyards at Charlottenborg.

Featuring performances by some of the hottest names in Copenhagen's music scene alongside a new generation of rising stars, highlights from this year's music programme include sessions by:

CHART in Tivoli


For CHART 2025 we are delighted to present a brand new iteration of CHART in Tivoli, featuring 15 unique artworks and installations across the historical amusement park Tivoli Gardens.

This year's CHART in Tivoli exhibition will offer an inspiring and interactive art experience to all of Tivoli’s guests, both in the gardens and online. An audio guide, produced especially for the occasion will offer unique thoughts and perspectives on each artwork, in the artist's own words.
