About The Works

Cry Me A River
, 2026

For CHART in Tivoli 2026, Danish artistgroup SUPERFLEX Frederik Næblerød (b. 1988) presents four new ceramic sculptures. The works are expressive, spontaneous, and humorous, with a grotesque presence. Crafted in glazed stoneware, glossy surfaces meet wild, organic forms. Næblerød’s distinctive style is both sensory and immediate. In Tivoli, he creates a tactile free space where playfulness and untamed energy collide with the dreamlike world of the amusement park. Inspired by his surroundings, he transforms the chaos of life into physical art.

Næblerød’s works span across paintings, drawings, sculptures, and off-grid projects. His works are expressive, sometimes bordering on the grotesque. Often, they draw inspiration from his immediate surroundings to convert the wild, quivering energy from life, people, and things around him to present and pertinent works whose materials, motifs, sizes, and messages span widely.
