About The Works
Admiral, 2025
Presented outdoors at CHART in Tivoli, Admiral is a powder-coated aluminum sculpture by Anna Fasshauer. Its title, color, and silhouette subtly hint at the admiral butterfly, while remaining distinctly abstract.
By transforming rigid industrial aluminum into a seemingly delicate and animated presence, Fasshauer creates a work that evokes movement and grace, hovering between weight and buoyancy, abstraction and recognition.

About The Artist
Anna Fasshauer (b. 1975) is a German sculptor whose aluminum works transform industrial material through bending, denting, and rolling. Treating aluminum with an unexpected sense of flexibility while preserving its recognizable character, she creates abstract floor and wall-based sculptures that balance humor, materiality, and expression. Her works explore the tension between rigidity and softness, turning cold metal into forms that feel strikingly human. Fasshauer graduated from Chelsea School of Art and Design, London, in 2001.
Anna Fasshauer is represented by Galerie Forsblom.
