August has arrived, and with it comes the countdown to CHART 2026 and a new season of exhibitions, performances, and art experiences.
Alongside this year’s art fair at Charlottenborg, CHART will also feature a full programme of events that are free and open for everyone to attend. Today, we're delighted to announce the Public Programme for CHART 2026 – free and open to everyone.

Talks Programme
The Talks programme at CHART 2026 will include a series of Artist Talks between artists showing at this year's fair and curators from leading art institutions across the Nordics. The artists represented are Carola Grahn, Emma Sarpaniemi, Loji Höskuldsson, Janaina Tschäpe, Simon Dybbroe Møller, SUPERFLEX, and Miriam Kongstad.
Alongside conversations with artists, it features a series of panel discussions with experts from diverse fields, exploring the ideas reshaping the contemporary art world; from cross-disciplinary practices, next generation collecting, and art as a source of wellbeing to the role of institutions in supporting artistic practice and the Icelandic art scene as a model for international collaboration.

Performance Programme
The Performance Programme at CHART 2026 will present a series of unique performances around the courtyards and inside the Cinema at Charlottenborg, as well as out in the public space around Kongens Nytorv and down into Kgs Nytorv Metro Station.
The programme explores our relationship with technology, identity, power, and social norms through immersive performances, collective movement, and playful interventions. Expect surreal humour, alternative perspectives on work and community, and celebrations of resilience, transformation, and womanhood.
Highlights from this year's programme include performances by Aapo Nikkanen & Raudie McLeod, Alberte Skronski, Copenhagen International Dance Festival & Lotte Sigh, The Icelandic Love Corporation, h2o slutclub and Miriam Kongstad & Heva Vaupel.

Cinema Programme
For CHART 2026, we are delighted to present a series video works inside the Cinema at Charlottenborg, in collaboration with the galleries exhibiting at this year’s art fair.
Highlights from this year’s Cinema Programme include works by: Ragnhild May & Kristoffer Raasted, The Icelandic Love Corporation, Katarina Löfström, Young-jun Tak, Sigurður Guðjónsson, Erica Eyres, Steina and Woody Vasulka, Maryam Jafri, Jiawei Zheng, Inuuteq Storch, Marike Schuurman, Julia Peirone, and Ebbe Stub Wittrup.
As part of our collaboration with The Copenhagen Metro, CHART will also present a series of video artworks at metro stations around the city. On advertising screens underground, travellers will be introduced to works by Ragnhild May & Kristoffer Raasted, Janaina Tschäpe, Julia Peirone, and Ebbe Stub Wittrup – presenting art to a new public in an unfamiliar context.

Music Programme
As the fair wind down on Friday and Saturday evening, CHART presents a vibrant programme of live music and DJ sets in the courtyards of Charlottenborg.
Bringing together established artists and emerging voices from Copenhagen and beyond, this year's programme spans ambient, electronic, indie, jazz, experimental, and club music.
This year's Music Programme include sessions by Koilwood, David Risley, Yangze, Den Stenede Rille, A Good Year, Harrison Heat B2B Kasper Bjørke, Téa, Ambient Abacadabra w/ Sofie Birch, TLF Trio, Vinnie Who, Small White Man, Unearth, Isaiah Hull, and Tania Just.

CHART in Tivoli
For CHART 2026 we are delighted to present a brand new iteration of CHART in Tivoli, featuring 12 unique artworks and installations inside the The Parterre Gardens and on The Lake in the historic Tivoli Gardens.
This year's CHART in Tivoli exhibition will offer an audio guide, produced especially by the exhibition, offering unique thoughts and perspectives on each artwork, in the artist's own words.
Participating artists in this year's CHART in Tivoli exhibition include: SUPERFLEX, Yves Scherer, Maria Zahle, Ulf Jevin, Olav Christopher Jenssen, Signe Solberg, Sofie Winther, Klara Lilja, Kiyoshi Yamamoto, Kari Aasen, Anna Fasshauer, Kristian Dahlgaard, and Martin Brandt Hansen.
