Every year in advance of the fair, CHART hosts a series of Online Curator Meetings between gallerists that participate at CHART, artists from their programme, and leading curators from art institutions around the world.
The initiative sprung from CHART's interest to explore new art fair formats, as well as a desire to bring curators and galleries closer together during the pandemic. In the years following, we have continued to organise the meetings as a sustainable way to bring members of the Nordic arts community together, without the need for travel or disruption to busy schedules.
We were delighted to facilitate curator meetings for the following galleries this year:
Alice Folker Gallery (DK); Andersen’s Contemporary (DK); Andréhn-Schiptjenko (SE/FR); Annika Nuttall Gallery (DK); BERG Contemporary (IS); CFHILL (SE); Dorothée Nilsson Gallery (DE); Galerie Anhava (FI); Galerie Nordenhake (SE/DE/MX); Galleri Bo Bjerggaard (DK); Galleri Magnus Karlsson (SE); Galleri Nicolai Wallner (DK); Galleri Susanne Ottesen (DK); Gallery Gudmundsdottir (DE); Gallery Steinsland Berliner (SE); Helsinki Contemporary (FI); i8 Gallery (IS); Lagune Ouest (DK); Martin Asbæk Gallery (DK); NEVVEN (SE); palace enterprise (DK); Persons Projects (DE); SPECTA (DK); V1 Gallery (DK); von Bartha (DK/CH); Wilson Saplana Gallery (DK); Þula (IS).

"I really appreciate the digital presentations CHART has put together as a preview to the art fair. They’re a great way to hear artists and gallerists introduce upcoming projects worth keeping an eye on and following."

"The Online Curator Meetings were a great opportunity for an encounter with the Nordic scene, including both galleries and artists from the region. The online sessions gave me a first impression of the scene and made me eager to explore it further.”

"The small sessions felt informal and personal. In each session, one gallery presented one of its artists. We saw a selection of the artist’s work, asked questions, and shared thoughts. I discovered several exciting names, from established artists to emerging ones. The online setup was a big plus and made it easy to join from Finland."

"I think it’s a really strong format, short and to the point, and a great way to be introduced to new artists and their practices. It also gives a better sense of and preparation for the actual CHART days, while offering insight into the different participating galleries."
