Online Film Screening:
“There Are Others Here With Me”
by Ane Graff
29 Aug12.00 - 12.30
CHART will host a premiere online screening of the film There Are Others Here With Me on the work by Ane Graff on CHART’s online platforms on 29 August at 12:00 (CEST). The film presents Ane Graff in conversation with curator Rhea Dall.
Ane Graff’s practice is informed by feminist new materialism – a re-thinking of our material reality, in which a process-oriented approach to matter plays an integral part. Her work traces lines between Western intellectual history and how ideas of human exceptionalism and dualism relate to the ecological disasters we face today.
Graff’s current shows include the exhibition Weather Report – Forecasting Future, shown at the Nordic Pavilion at the 58th Venice Biennale (curated by Piia Oksanen and Leevi Haapala, KIASMA) and Art Encounters Biennial 2019 (curated by Maria Lind & Anca Rujoiu). Upcoming exhibitions include the 2020 Liverpool Biennale (curated by Manuela Moscoso) and the Rhizome/ New Museum/ Stavanger Kunsthall collaboration 7×7.
Rhea Dall is a Danish curator and the incoming Director of Overgaden in Copenhagen, one of the city’s most dexterious institutions for experimental contemporary art. Currently Dall is based in Norway where she directs UKS (Unge Kunstneres Samfund / Young Artists’ Society) and has organized several exhibitions as a freelance curator, among them the group show Tempo Tempo Tempo at the Kistefos Museum, including work by Ragna Bley, Ane Graff, and Sandra Mujinga.
