About GALLERI MAGNUS KARLSSON (SE)
Galleri Magnus Karlsson was first founded in 1990 in Västerås. It gained a reputation as one of the most interesting contemporary art galleries in Sweden. In August 1997 the gallery moved to Stockholm. The focus of the gallery is to show the work of emerging artists from Sweden. The gallery has taken part at international art fairs such as Liste, Basel; Art Forum Berlin; Frieze Art Fair, in London; and The Armory Show, in New York in order to present its artists internationally. The gallery also coproduces exhibitions and projects with museums and galleries. The gallery is located on the ground floor of The Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm. In the summer of 2011, Hellvi Kännungs, a project room on the island of Gotland, opened its doors to the public. This is also a place for artists to meet and to work.
For CHART 2016, Galleri Magnus Karlsson will present artworks from Klara Kristalova, Roger Andersson, Mette Björnberg, Thomas Broomé, Marcel Dzama, Richard Johansson, Johanna Karlsson, Dan Wolgers, Charlie Roberts, Bella Rune, Jockum Nordström and Kent Iwemyr.
