About GALLERI ANDERSSON/SANDSTRÖM (SE)
Galleri Andersson/Sandström is owned and directed by Stefan Andersson and Sara Sandström Nilsson together with their team of six. The program focuses on international contemporary art and represents well-established names alongside young emerging artists, with a special focus on outdoor sculpture and public commissions.
Galleri Andersson/Sandström has two spaces, one in Umeå and one in Stockholm. The venue in Umeå is located by the waterside in the central city and is open by appointment. The Stockholm gallery was inaugurated in 2008 and is a 500 square meter large space situated in Vasastan. In 2015, the gallery also opened a showroom just around the corner from the gallery in Stockholm.
Galleri Andersson/Sandström produces between 8-10 exhibitions per year and has participated in art fairs in Stockholm, Copenhagen, Berlin, Brussels, Hong Kong and Miami. Since 1994, Galleri Andersson/Sandström, working together with the real estate company, Balticgruppen, has been responsible for arranging exhibitions at one of Europe’s most important sculpture parks, Umedalen Skulptur. In 2016, Galleri Andersson/Sandström arranged its first outdoor sculpture exhibition in Stockholm with Sir Tony Cragg at the Royal Djurgården. The exhibition was initiated by Prince Daniel of Sweden and arranged by the gallery in collaboration with The Royal Djurgården Administration.
For CHART 2016, Galleri Andersson/Sandström will present artworks from Eva Hild and Tatjana Valsang.
