The paintings of Tuukka Tammisaari (b. 1984, Finland) range from cheeky playfulness to heavy monochrome in their multiple overlapping images and rough surface structure of many layers of paint. He will speak about how he combines earthly, inflected hues and bright abstract shapes with references to art history, nature and the surrounding world.
