Callum Innes – Painting / Unpainting
31 Aug12:00 – 12:30
The Chapel, Charlottenborg
Callum Innes’ (b. 1962, UK) characteristic form of abstraction has aptly been described as ‘unpainting’, given that key compositional elements are generally produced, not by application of paint, but through its removal by washes of turpentine. He will speak on his process and how each of his new paintings builds on those that have gone before in a subtle but constant progression.
Moderator: Amy Zion, New York based Curator, Writer, and part-time faculty at the Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College.
This venue is wheelchair accessible.
