CHART 2020

CHART De-centred opens today in the participating galleries across Copenhagen, Helsinki, Oslo, Reykjavik, and Stockholm. In a strong collective statement, all galleries are showing 100% women artists to highlight the structural challenge of gender imbalance in the art scene.

Join us in the galleries for the opening night from 17:00 and tour your local CHART galleries in late opening hours.

There’s no need to sign up, just drop in! See the map of participating galleries HERE.

To prepare your gallery visits read more about the CHART’s new format on Artsy HERE.

EXHIBITION HIGHLIGHTS

Ranging from emerging profiles to the internationally acclaimed, the exhibiting galleries at CHART 2020 present a multitude of artistic expressions on the Nordic contemporary art scene.

Explore emerging artist Siri Elfhag’s symbolic and expressive paintings at Galleri Andersson/Sandström in Stockholm. Get a closer look at Japanese Urara Tsuchiya’s humorous yet confrontational ceramic works at Galleri Golsa in Oslo.

Emerging artist Nanna Abell’s sculptural and conceptual work can be explored at Galleri Susanne Ottesen in Copenhagen. See the renowned pioneering video artist, Steina on show at BERG Contemporary, where they are joined by i8 Gallery and Hverfisgalleri to present a mini-CHART in Reykjavík.

Finnish artist Emma Helle’s sculptural work portrays cherubs and feminine sprites in the starring role, as active agents. See her work at Galerie Forsblom in Helsinki.
