You are hereby invited to the opening of Brian Eno’s sound art installation The Ship.
The opening will take place on Sunday 12 June at 3.30pm at Kunsthal Charlottenborg.
Brian Eno, who started his career in legendary Roxy Music, is best known as a pioneer in the field of ambient and electronic music. He created music under his own name and produced for some of the biggest artists in the music business. Alongside his music career, Brian Eno also gained international recognition as an artist, working with sound art in particular. For La Biennale di Venezia 2015 Among he was invited to exhibit his work The Creation of Sound.
The Ship is Brian Eno’s first solo exhibition in Denmark since 1992. The work is an extensive sound art installation that evolves over time, sharing its title with his latest album. The exhibition of Brian Eno’s The Ship is made possible through a collaboration between CHART ART FAIR, Kunsthal Charlottenborg and Heartland Festival, and can be experienced at all three events. The installation is designed specifically for each space – and the experience of the work will therefore be unique to Heartland Festival, CHART ART FAIR and Kunsthal Charlottenborg.
The Ship will be exhibited at Kunsthal Charlottenborg from 12 June 12 to 7 August in collaboration with CHART ART FAIR, who will exhibit the art work as part of the CHART SOCIAL programme during CHART ART FAIR from 26-28 August. The work will be premiered at the Heartland Festival at Egeskov Castle on 10-11 June.
