CHART ARCHITECTURE Competition 2016 – Finalists

CHART ARCHITECTURE is a competition launched in 2014 as a key element of CHART SOCIAL. The priority of CHART ARCHITECTURE is to promote young Nordic architects by inviting teams of master students and recent graduates to challenge the boundaries between art and architecture. The aim is to design and build both permanent and temporary pavilions in the baroque courtyard of Kunsthal Charlottenborg for use during and after the fair.


The 2016 competition is judged by:

Dorte Foss, architect
Tom Emerson, architect and founder of 6a architects
Jamiee Williams, architect and Artistic Manager at CHART


The six finalists are: Hang in/Hang out by Isabelle Easterling and Ludvig von Hofsten; Œufs Frit by Kristin Søndersrød Ose and Emma Sönner; Fish Eye & The Mirror by Nicole Strelcheva, Trine Thy, Nowak Aleksander and Tamara Kalantajevska; Cups of light by Nanna Kley-Jakobsen and Victor Fruergaard; The Walkin’ Display by Emil Fabritius Buchwald and Mads Nikolaj Brandt; and Growing Sphere by Sine Lindholm and Mads-Ulrik Husum.



The competition is created in partnership with FOSS and Københavns Kommune.
